Clinical Small Group Class Programs

All classes are 45 minutes long and a 30 min assessment is required before joining our Clinical Small Group Class.

Programs are specifc to each participant, therefore, you can join any available group class times in the timetable as you will be doing your own unique exercise program.

10 Week Diabetes Care Program

A Diabetes Care plan gives eligible type 2 diabetes patients subsidised access to Group Diabetes Exercise Classes supervised by an Exercise Physiologist. An initial assessment is required to determine elegibility.
The group classes include supervised exercise sessions and an educational component.

These sessions are 1 hour long and are run in small groups of up to 8 participants. A type 2 diabetes care plan subsidises an individual initial assessment and up to 8 group exercise and education sessions each calendar year. At the end of the program we offer a complimentary 10th week telehealh service.Week 1: 45 min Initial Assessment $20 out of pocket

Private Health Fund rebates are also available depending on level of cover.

Better Bones and Balance (BBB)

Our Better Bones and Balance program is an evidence based exercise program designed to improve bone mineral density, prevent falls, and to improve the performance of activities of daily living.

The BBB program is specifically suitable to individuals who are diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia. However, anyone is able to join this class as it is also an effective way to maintain bone health.

Mobility for MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and other neurological conditions

Many of the symptoms associated with Multiple Sclerosis can be reduced through physical exercise. Exercise is a great way to stay strong, control weight, improve fitness and reduce the impact of specific MS symptoms.

Our MS (Multiple Sceloris) program is designed to assess, achieve, and improve on the following areas:

- Static and dynamic balance to prevent falls

- Muscular strength and power

- Walking gait

- Coordination and neuromuscular control

- Range of motion

- Cardiovascular fitness

- Personal goals.

12 Week Heart Care Program

We provide evidence based cardiac rehabilitation programs for patients diagnosed with Chronic Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, Congenital Heart Disease, or Coronary Heart Disease.

A thorough assessment is needed to determine your suitability to join our Heart Care group exercise class. On your first visit we will assess the severity, stability, and current treatment plan for your condition. We will also assess your past and current physical ability. All exercises programs are tailored to each participant and begins at a low intensity levels which are gradually progressed over time when appropriate.

POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)

Activities of daily living can be very challenging to those with POTS (Postural tachycardia Syndrome). Using the reformer machine allows for movement to be done while lying down to minimise symptoms and to gradually progress to sitting and standing exercises. An initial assessment is needed to determine suitability to join this class.

Movement Re-exposure for CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)

A thorough assessment is needed to determine if movement is right for you. This is particularly true for those with persisting pain and fatigue (ME/CFS or Fibromyalgia). It may take a few one on one sessions to fully understand and stabilise your fatigue symptoms before you are able to join the Movement Re-exposure program. This program focus on restoring tolerance to movements of daily living with the aim improving quality of life.

Injury Rehabilitation Class

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Clinical Pilates Instructors work together to develop a tailored rehabilitation program. This class is limited only to a maximum of 4 participants to ensure a high level of attention and care. Participants will also be provided with a home exercise program to supplement the classes.

Performance Class

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists program each class to deliver a well balanced, full body workout while teaching you about your body and movement. Group classes are limited to a max of 4 people to ensure that you receive the best attention and care. This ensures that you workout safely and effectively.

During the Performance Class you will use a wide variety of equipment which includes free weights, various machines, and reformer. Classes are structured to begin with warm up and end with mobility focused exercises.
